When Edward Quartermaine continued to pressure Susan to disappear, Alan moved out of the mansion and in with the mother of his son. (At the time, no one realized that she had actually given birth to twins.) Alan tracked her down and convinced her to return to Port Charles. Unfortunately, she soon discovered she was pregnant and ran away to New York City where she gave birth to her son, Jason, in 1981. But Monica was having Alan followed, and Susan split up with him. Maybe if she had been around longer, it would’ve eventually developed but as it stands… we’ll never know. This theory relies on pure maternal instinct and it seemed that Susan just had too much going on in her life to have that strong of one. Granted, she didn’t really get to know either of them in her life so perhaps she would surprise everyone and be in Kim’s camp. Also, choosing between her son and the man that is technically her nephew would be a hell of a choice to make. If she were still alive and her son had died and they thought he was now living in the body of Franco Baldwin? Oy. In 2012 it was revealed that Jason was actually one of twins and that twin turned out to be Drew Caine whom Heather Webber said she sold to nurse Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang) but that turned out to be a lie as it was actually her own child she sold, Scott, who grew up to be Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). She was found murdered and for awhile every Quartermaine in existence was fingered as a suspect but as it turns out it was just Crane, the man whom she had wrongfully trusted who shot her after she decided she wanted no part of the deal after all. However she teamed up with Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) former husband, Crane Tolliver (Wiley Harkey), in order to prove that Lila and Edward’s marriage was a sham and that seems to be where the story ends for Susan. ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The end cometh She found out later that Scotty was just using her for access to Jason’s trust fund which he used to build a mall on the docks (Man, I hope Jason’s getting a cut of the profits now!), which prompted her to kick Scotty out and cut him off and no one can really blame her for that. Susan ended up with her lawyer, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and arranged for her cousin Heather Webber (Robin Mattson) to have custody of Jason if anything happened to her. Poor heartbroken Susan tried to sue Alan for support but only ended up getting $150,000 out of the deal while Jason got the lion’s share with a whopping million dollar trust fund.
